Protecting the public
How NOMS keeps the public safe
The top priority for the National Offender Management Service is protecting the public.
While it's vital to work with offenders to address their offending behaviour and work towards their full rehabilitation, offender managers know that managing the risks posed by offenders must come first.
Those risks are managed through effective supervision involving meetings with the offender, sharing of information with other agencies and regular re-assessment of the risk they pose.
